*BITTER PILLS FOR BETTER HEALTH* (II)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"I obey your word instead of following a way that leads to trouble. You have been my teacher, and I won't reject your instructions. Your teachings are sweeter than honey. They give me understanding and make me hate all lies."* (Psalms 119:101-104 (CEV))
_Bible Insight:_
Why describe the Word as bitter when the Word describes Himself as sweeter than honey? The bitterness of the word does not lie in the Word but in the process of learning and doing the Word. The man who will find the Word sweeter than honey must be ready to deal with the place of labour in the Word and obedience to the Word. And these two are not necessarily sweet.
Ours is a generation where so much contend for our attention. There are many inventions that our imaginations are always being entertained with. There are many thoughts, opinions and multiple access to diverse information. Even the system of education, is not setup to encourage, let alone, inspire people to care about the Word of God. The educational system is fast becoming a well structured high thing that exalt itself against the knowledge of God. Only those who are self trained in the Word will stand a chance to remain among God's remnants, the elect.
Based on this background, the man who will come to know the Word as sweeter than honey is a man who will deal with the place of discipline and diligence in the Word. If we don't labour in the word (both in studying the Word and obeying the Word) we will never come to see or know the Sweetness of the Word.
When we begin to find the labour in the Word engaging and interesting through consistency and determination, then we shall become whole, and well spiritually and otherwise.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I have sworn [an oath] and have confirmed it, that I will keep Your righteous ordinances [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them]."* -- Psalms 119:105-106 (Amplified)

*Judas Cash-out? (Snippet on prophecies)*
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation."* (2 Peter 1:20 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
When we read about the events that surround the birth of Christ, we are often tempted to believe that every occurrence were orchestrated in the Spirit and those at the time were acting by default.
And this claims have quite some passages that can back them up such as Matthew 1:23-- "Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us."
Likewise, Matthew 2:5,6, 16-- "And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men.
Reading 2:17,18 further it says *"Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.
Finally, 2:23 says "And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene."
There are several of these passages but let's build on this few; God is omnipresent, omnipotent etc..He does not live in time. He had seen in the future that a virgin would conceive the saviour, that Herod would kill the children under the ages of two and that one of the saviour's disciples would betray him...therefore he revealed those to the prophets of old..The later characters of this roles; Mary, Herod, Judas etc all acted on their own accords.
Even when Jesus told Peter that he would deny him thrice before cockcrow it Was because Jesus had by Spirit seen how that Peter would deny him and not that Peter denied him to fulfil what Jesus said.
Therefore Judas allowed greed and discontentment to rule him.
_MEDITATION:_
*"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?"* -- Romans 6:16

*THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT PARENTING* (The End)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him."* (Genesis 18:19 (KJV))
_Bible Insight:_
When you put God in everything, you will see His hand in everything! When you put everything about your children in God's hand, you will see His hand in everything about them.
1.
Prayer works: Never stops praying for your children. Never stops teaching your children to pray. Never stops modeling a praying father or mother to your children. Never stops leading your children to pray. Never stops encouraging your children to pray. Never stop praying. Prayer works.
2.
Be choicy in their choice of schools. Take time to select the school for your children. Be intentional. It's not necessarily how high the fees that matters, within your means, there is a school out there that would best serve the need of your children.
3.
It is not only to marry according to God's will but to be the right person in marriage. Be intentional about being the right person in marriage. When you feel like you did not marry the right person, stop and ask yourself if your partner is not probably thinking the same of you. So, it is better YOU strive to be that right person for your partner, before you want them to be the right person for you.
4. Love is not emotional or sexual. Remember that love is beyond emotional or sexual feelings. Love is a daily decision you make. It is the ability to accommodate, forgive & continue to believe the best of others.
5. Spend more time with them. Don't make a habit of buying things for your children as an exchange for the time you deny to be with them. Your gifts can never replace your active presence in their lives.
6. It is the one that takes care of children that the children will know. Don't delegate your place in the lives of your children.
7. Be hard on them where and when necessary. Don't spare the rod & spoil the child.
_MEDITATION:_
*"The most formative years of a child is between ages 1 to 16! Be most intentional and deliberate during this period. Install in them the basic teachings and ideas that would guide them the rest of their lives"*

*DAILY DEW 2ND/APRIL/2022*
*Be PURPOSE-DRIVEN* (I)
_Key Bible Text:_
*"Sacrifices and offerings are not what please you; gifts and payment for sin are not what you demand. But you made me willing to listen and obey. And so, I said, "I am here to do what is written about me in the book, where it says, 'I enjoy pleasing you. Your Law is in my heart.' " When your people worshiped, you know I told them, "Our LORD always helps!""* (Psalms 40:6-9 (CEV))
_Bible Insight:_
We long to live a purposeful life. One Christian author Rick Warren wrote a book, "The Purpose Driven Life", with a subtitle, "What on earth am I here for?" It turned out to be a bestseller, because that’s the cry of the human heart. We want to live life with meaning and purpose. I want to make my life count.
Do you want to live a fruitful life? That which is purposeful and useful? We need to learn from Jesus. He led a most satisfying life - pleasing to God and fulfils all that the Father expects from Him. Today we want to live the same kind of life.
Jesus need not have to ask the question, "What on earth am I here for?" It was clearly prophesied even before He was born. His parents need not have to think of a name for Him, like all parents do - His name was given even before He was born. His Name epitomizes His entire life purpose - He was born to save.
He lived only for 33 years, and completed what He was born to do. From His encounter with this Samaritan woman, Jesus showed us 3 guiding principles of life: (1) He lived His life knowing clearly His purpose; (2) He has the right priorities; (3) He was driven by a passion to fulfil God’s will.
_MEDITATION:_
*"When all your people met, I did not keep silent. I said, "Our LORD is kind. He is faithful and caring, and he saves us." You, LORD, never fail to have pity on me; your love and faithfulness always keep me secure."* -- Psalms 40:10-11(CEV)
